Youth MOVE Massachusetts, the Massachusetts chapter of Youth MOVE National, was established in 2010 as a youth and young adult-driven, peer-led youth program that aims to support the engagement of youth and young adults with lived experience in various systems, including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare, to use their experience in these systems to make change. Within the program, youth gain the skills and support they need to advocate for themselves in their own lives, to maintain their stability in the community, and learn how to support others going through similar challenges. By supporting youth to learn these skills and make these connections, Youth MOVE Massachusetts is helping to ensure that the individuals served become productive, engaged, aware members of their communities with the skills to succeed towards their goals.
